I was out with my aunt and cousin the other day when I was in Toronto and we were about to exit a Shoppers Drugs Mart. We approached the closest opening to the outdoors and as we walked closer and closer to the exit, I noticed that we were going the wrong way because I saw the "DO NOT ENTER" sign on the door. I paused and said "wait" to my aunt and cousin, but they said "just come this way!" As a lady was coming in the Shoppers, the door opened and my aunt and cousin walked out.
As I lifted my foot to proceed forward, a rush of guilt came upon me and I turned around, walked allll the way to the other side to the proper exit door. My aunt and cousin looked at me and said I was such a "good girl."
I was texting my cousin today about what I did this morning, which consisted of going out with my dad. This was also followed by a "good girl" comment.
I don't want to be a "good girl."
I want people to see me as someone absolutely in love with the Lord.
