Scenario 1:
My mom tells my dad to wash his lunch containers and so he goes to the sink and opens them up. There are some leftover rice bits in the container, so he opens the compost bin, takes out an old piece of yellow choy from the bin and starts using it to sweep the rice bits into the compost.
I start laughing hysterically and I tell my mom what my dad is doing when she asks me why I'm laughing.
& then my dad calls me "bak gwa"
Scenario 2:
My dad came home at around 8ish and I asked him if he had eaten yet, and he said no, but he wasn't hungry. After my mom comes home, I see my dad snacking on some cookies and it reminds me that he hasn't eaten dinner yet. So I ask him again why he hasn't eaten and whether or not he is trying to lose weight, and then...my mom overhears and gets "angry," asking why he didn't eat. And then she assumes that someone at work brought him some food and he ate that food instead of eating the food she made for him at home (which she was right...). My dad picks up an envelope and starts fanning it towards my mom in guilt or annoyance. Then he comes up to me and says, "So...when are you going back to Waterloo?"
D:
I'm definitely not missed.
Hence, before this week, I've only been home one day this whole term.
