winter/trip/random blurbs...

April 20th at 9:35am, marked the end of my Winter 2012 term! YAYY. & a few days from now...I will be starting school again for spring term..yaaaayy....
In the mean time, I will be working tomorrow and Monday. My dad likes to take advantage of the time I'm home. But, I am glad that I can help him!
On another note, I left for vacation on the 22nd and I came back today! I was planning to blog before I left for my trip, but I didn't have time..so I think this will be a very long blog post..you are warned! I'll split it up according thoughts about the term...my trip and just random things. Read what you want.

This term has definitely been a journey. Compared to the fall term, it was different...in a good way. Like I shared during sharing night at CCF, last term was filled with a lot of pain, sadness and just me feeling sorry for myself most of the time. After continual prayer and seeking the Lord, He has granted and filled me with a sense of peace and satisfaction in the one thing that can fulfill that emptiness. Although I had endured a lot of pressure from my parents this term (especially), I was still able to rejoice always, because I am not here to please man, but God.

After writing all my exams, I believed that this term was a lot better than my other terms and when I went to check my marks the first time, I was foolishly confident in my own capabilities. I checked and saw three marks - one was not as high as I had hoped for. I was so disappointed in myself and I was worried at what my parents would think. Wow. What did I just say was different this term than the last? Being filled with peace and not pleasing man. Immediately I prayed and asked for forgiveness because I knew that I was too prideful in what I momentarily thought was my own strength that had gotten me through this term. The second time I checked my marks, I prayed before checking. I prayed for peace and satisfaction, no matter what the outcome. Another mark came out - physics. PHEEESIX - the exam that my parents were the most worried about because the midterm was the worst exam of my life. But...PRAISE GOD. It was good. :)

I went to Florida with my family (3 brothers, parents) & my sister in laws and my nieces!
During my trip, this is a list of things that I learned or was reminded of:
- babies are cute. even when they are pooing
- it is most satisfying when you make a baby laugh
- do not wear clean clothes when you hold babies.
- my mom always interrupts "serious" conversations I have with my brother (Josh)
- my brother (Jon) ran to Harry Potter land like a little boy running to the candy store
- BUTTERBEER = :D :D
- a vacation isn't a vacation unless you have some days of doing nothing
- you can always be reminded of things that you have learned before
- having a good memory is not always a good thing
- prayer is key
- I have to stop thinking about something
- I am blessed to be able to go to Florida
- I am blessed to have a job that I can just work whenever I'm home (no matter how short of a time I'm home for)

God is continually reaching out for him. We flew on an airline called Southwest and how the seating works is that you can sit anywhere you want. When you buy your tickets, you are grouped into Group A, Group B, etc. Group A gets seated first, and so forth. On the plane ride back to Buffalo, he had to sit in a row where the two other seats were occupied with a couple. The husband ended up striking a conversation with him and they led to a topic of the husband's kids - one of the man's kids is a missionary. Their conversation causally led to a religion based conversation and they chatted for 2 and a half hours.
