catch up.

*I have all these jumbled thoughts so it's going to get messy.*

Excluding my family, I have known these two people the longest - 11 years. We went to the same elementary school, the same high school, and we are all in the same city for university (TM@Laurier, VC@UW with me). However, during the past 3 years,
we never really put an effort in meeting up regularly throughout the school year (since VC and I currently live together and we also lived together in first and second year... it was mainly VC&I not seeing TM). We are changing that.
Being the only Christian (& an introvert), I used to find it difficult to voice my opinion on certain topics that I would not have any interest in discussing. This led to their lack of knowledge of what I believed in while growing up.
It wasn't until the past year or so that I started to share more with them, especially how my faith has shaped and affected how I view certain things. One thing that we have discussed before is relationships (go figure). VC & I struggled with our opposing views in first and second year, and I often wondered whether or not it was "worth" sharing with her at all. I also frequently invited her to CCF, house DGs, SYC, or church, but the invitation was often shot down.
Today, VC told me that she didn't want to search for a boyfriend anymore (which she did in the past) and instead, she wanted to evaluate and work on herself more (sound familiar?). VC is starting to see marriage as the ultimate purpose for dating, rather than viewing it as just something "fun" for the time being. She also wanted to start going to CCF and she mentioned that she never liked how people went to certain clubs with the intention to just socialize or meet new people...so...WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??? ... ;P

Recently, I also found out that both of them experienced a time of depression during university due to feeling extremely lonely. I feel somewhat responsible as I am their friend, yet I was too consumed in my own bubble to not show that I care for them. I am too selfish and I need more love. I'm sorry.

I pray that I will be a light among my non Christian friends. I need to focus on Christ so that when they see me, they will see Christ. & I will never stop praying for them.
