Patient Story 06: elderly woman with a fractured left hip.
This was a pleasant lady who was my patient waiting to be placed in a nursing home. Her husband had passed away a few years ago and she sold her house shortly after. She is medically stable and the only thing preventing her from going to a home is money. Wouldn't she have money from her sold house you ask? Why yes! She just doesn't want to spend it.
Lesson: Money is such a temporary thing. Don't make it an idol.
