locked out.

Today I was ready earlier than usual for work. I was very ecstatic and energized for the day's work since I had a 3 day break. Usually, my dad and I leave the house at around 9:30, and we get to work at 9:45ish, but today we were ready at 9:15! :D
When we depart for work, I am only responsible for carrying our lunches. I also bring my wallet (for my license to drive the car). And so, we exited the house, into the garage. The car that was awaiting us in the garage was the hybrid, which has this automatic sensor on the door handle and when the person who is carrying the key pulls the door handle, the car automatically unlocks. The car's interior lights also come on when it senses its owner drawing closer.
Immediately after I closed the door that separates the inside of my house from the garage, I noticed that the interior lights of the car were not turning on. My dad goes and pulls the door handle and it does not unlock. Then...
"AIYA MO DAI SOR CEE"

So I just stand in the garage, while my dad scurries around, trying to open our house doors...and then, he disappears for a very long time.
I eventually got tired of standing and I walked around my garage, and I found one of the back seats of my van that was taken out so I sat there. It was also raining and very cold so I just sat on the seat in fetal position, trying to preserve as much heat as possible. hahaha
After MANY HOURS (aka. 0.75 of an hour), a car swoops into my driveway, and out comes my dad running towards me, smiling, holding house keys in his hand. We go inside, he grabs his keys and we drive to work.
It turned out he went to our neighbour's house and they drove him to where my mom was working so my dad could get the house keys from my mom!
hahaha...thanks for telling me >.>

I never knew our neighbours were so nice; we haven't really "bonded" with our neighbours.
But, praise God for nice neighbours :), who were willing to help us when we were stranded!
